Love does not possess. Love accompanies

To love does not mean holding someone back so that they remain as we imagined them. A reflection on recognising another person’s freedom, distinguishing love from possession and learning to accompany without tightening our grip, let go without ceasing to love, and accept that not everything that ends was meaningless.
